Ingredients (6 portions)

beef minced 600 gram
noodles lasagne 12 slices
onion 2 pieces
garlic 2 cloves
carrot 200 gram
celery 200 gram
broth 300 ml
thyme 2 twigs
muscat 5 pinches
salt 1 pinch
pepper 1 pinch
cheese 200 gram
[sauce]
butter 5 tablespoons
flour 5 tablespoons
milk 800 ml
salt 2 pinch
pepper 2 pinch

Instructions (60 min. prep, 120 min. total)

  1. Cut onions and garlic into 2mm cubes.
  2. Cut carrots and saddlery into 2mm slices.
  3. Fry the minced meat in batches.
  4. Place fried meat onto plate for later.
  5. Fry onions and then add garlic until golden brown.
  6. Add and fry carrots and saddlery.
  7. Add meat back into pan.
  8. Add 300 ml broth into pan.
  9. Heat to boil for 5 minutes.
  10. Add thyme, muscat, salt and pepper.
  11. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  12. Open the cover to get the liquid evaporated.
  13. Preheat oven to 220 degree convection.
  14. Grate the cheese!
  15. Bechamelsauce.
  16. Melt 5 tablespoons of butter in a pan.
  17. Gram by gram add flour to pan and swirl.
  18. Swirl for your life.
  19. Add 800 ml milk.
  20. Heat to boil for 1 minute.
  21. Reduce heat add salt and pepper.
  22. Simmer for 10 minutes until thick and creamy.
  23. Stir every now and then.
  24. Butter a baking form.
  25. Add 4 tablespoons of bechamelsauce at bottom.
  26. Add 3 lasagne noodles.
  27. Add layer of meat and vegetables.
  28. Repeat for three more layers.
  29. Press each layer down to strengthen the structure.
  30. Final layer gets rest of bechamelsauce.
  31. Distribute grated cheese as top layer.
  32. Bake in over for 30 minutes.
  33. Rest for 5 minutes.

Comments

Can also cook slices of pumpkin and add as layer.

Experts sprinkle more cheese in each layer for happy cheese surprise!

If bechamelsauce swirling doesnt mix the flour well, use mr magic mixer.
