Instructions (30 min. prep, 90 min. total)
- Cut the garlic in thin slices.
- Cut and separate the white and green spring onion parts into 5mm slices.
- Cut the beef into 1cm stripes.
- Mix the corn starch, soy sauce and chinese vinegar.
- Mix in the meat and garlic.
- Cover the marinate in the fridge for 1 hr.
- Heat the oil in a wok.
- Stir fry the broccoli for 2 min.
- Add the white onions and cook for 2 min.
- Add mushrooms and cook for 3 min.
- Add the water and bring to the boil.
- Simmer the vegetables over a medium heat for 10 min.
- Place vegetables in a bowl and cover.
- Heat a bit of oil in the same wok.
- Stir fry the meat for 2 min.
- Remove meat into vegetables bowl.
- Mix another sauce with broth, chinese vinegar, and soy sauce into the wok.
- Stir and boil to loosen bits stuck to the bottom of the wok.
- Reduce the heat.
- Add the vegetables and meat.
- Add a bit of corn starch to thicken.
- Stir and warm up everything
- Add green spring onion and coriander just before serving.
