Hüftsteak with cocoa beans

Hüftsteak or Hohrückensteak

Ingredients (2 portions)

hüftsteak 500 gram
potato 200 gram
cocoa beans 150 gram
garlic 2 cloves
onion 1 piece
pepper 1 pinch
salt 1 pinch
olive oil 1 tablespoon
water 50 ml
butter 10 gram
parsley 0.25 bunch

Instructions (10 min. prep, 30 min. total)

  1. Remove the steak from fridge and pepper it.
  2. Preheat the oven to 150 degree.
  3. Cut the potatoes into any cubes and boil for 20 minutes.
  4. Cut onions into 3mm cubes.
  5. Cut garlic into 1mm slices.
  6. Cut parsley into tiny pieces.
  7. Fry in pan until golden brown.
  8. Meanwhile wash cocoa beans and cut diagonally into 4cm pieces.
  9. Add cocoa bean pieces to the frying pan.
  10. A few minutes later, add the slices garlic.
  11. Again a few minutes later, add water and salt.
  12. Cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes at low heat.
  13. Meanwhile, at high heat melt butter in a new pan.
  14. Fry steaks at high heat for 4 minutes.
  15. Do not poke or flip steak.
  16. After 4 minutes, flip once and reduce heat to medium.
  17. After 4 minutes, both two sides are browned and the one middle pink.
  18. Wrap steaks each in aluminum foil.
  19. Bake steaks in oven at 150 degree for 10 minutes.
  20. Add the plates also into the oven.
  21. Extract potatoes, beans and steak to place on plate.
  22. Sprinkle with parsley.
