Dragon eggs

A sibling of scotch eggs.

Ingredients (4 portions)

egg 4 pieces
beef minced 400 gram
oil frying 500 ml

Instructions (15 min. prep, 20 min. total)

  1. Boil the eggs until egg white is solid and yolk still soft.
  2. Peel the egg shells carefully.
  3. Wrap the minced meat around each egg.
  4. Close any holes and make sure it sticks.
  5. Heat the frying oil to 200 degree.
  6. Slowly lower one dragon egg into the hot oil.
  7. Once golden brown retrieve the egg with a holey spoon to leave the oil.
  8. Dry on paper towels and fry next egg.
