Crispy beef

Ingredients (2 portions)

hüftsteak 200 gram
oil frying 200 ml
corn starch 30 gram
salt 1 pinch
pepper 1 pinch
soy sauce 60 ml
vinegar 20 ml
honey 20 ml
sugar 20 gram
chili paste 5 gram
water 20 ml
ginger 10 gram
olive oil 1 teaspoon
onion 20 gram
garlic 1 clove

Instructions (10 min. prep, 20 min. total)

  1. Cut the beef into thin 5mm slices.
  2. Cut onions and garlic into small 3mm cubes.
  3. Crate the ginger.
  4. Heat the frying oil to 200 degree.
  5. Mix the corn starch with salt and pepper.
  6. Densely cover the beef with this mix. Really get it all over.
  7. Once the oil is really hot, fry the beef slices in small portions max 3 minutes.
  8. Dry on paper towels.
  9. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, honey, sugar, chili paste, water and ginger together.
  10. Heat clean wok and fry onions and garlic briefly.
  11. Mix and stir the sauce into the wok.
  12. Optionally mix the meat into the wok as well or keep separate as desired.

Comments

Note: The oil has to be really hot and handle above 200 degree.
