Faschierte Laiberl / Koefte

Ingredients (2 portions)

beef minced 400 gram
semmelbrösel 50 gram
water 50 ml
oil 2 tablespoons
onion 1 piece
salt 2 pinch
pepper 2 pinch
koefte spice 2 pinch
rosemary 1 pinch
egg 2 pieces
[optional]
feta 50 gram

Instructions (20 min. prep, 60 min. total)

  1. Preheat the oven to 150 degree.
  2. Mix the hot water and the Semmelbrösel. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Cut the onions in tiny 1mm by 1mm cubes. The smaller the better.
  4. Mix all minced meat, onions, oil, salt, pepper, koefte, rosemary spices - best with hand.
  5. Break the eggs and mix it with the meat.
  6. Mix in the soft Semmelbröselor couscous.
  7. Form 2 cm thick meat ovals.
  8. Optionally, add a thin slice of feta in the middle and close the meat around it.
  9. Place in the oven for 30 minutes.
  10. Heat up the oven to 200 degree and crisp out the Laiberl.
  11. Hinweis: Serves well with a sour creme dip.

Comments

Couscous works surprisingly well as replacement for Semmelbrösel.
