Gebackene Bohnen ala Riemenschneider

Ingredients (6 portions)

beans white 500 gram
beans red 300 gram
mushroom 300 gram
pork minced 500 gram
bell pepper 1 pieces
pickles 4 pieces
bacon 50 gram
ketchup 5 tablespoons
pepper 0.5 teaspoons
salt 0.5 teaspoons
chili paste 0.5 teaspoons
bohnenkraut 1 teaspoons

Instructions (30 min. prep, 90 min. total)

  1. Cut bell peppers in 2x4cm stripes.
  2. Cut pickles in 1x4cm stripes.
  3. Cut onions in 3mm rings.
  4. Cut bacon in 1cm cubes.
  5. Fry the bacon and minced meat. Probably bacon has enough fats to skip oil.
  6. Add onions to frying pan.
  7. Add spices salt, pepper, chili to meat.
  8. Throw away red bean juice.
  9. Wash red beans and add to mix.
  10. Add white beans with juice to mix.
  11. Add mushrooms to mix.
  12. Add ketchup or curry ketchup to mix.
  13. Bring to boil for few minutes.
  14. Simmer at low heat with cover for 30 minutes.
  15. Add pickles and Bohnenkraut.
  16. Simmer at very low heat for 30 minutes.

Comments

Note: Keep stirring every few minutes to avoid burning on the bottom.

You can use any spice level for your ketchup.
