Simple single-line instruction per line.
Peel the raw potatoes. Grate the potatoes in thin 5 x 50 mm slices. Heat the butter in a pan to medium heat. Add one portion of the grated potatoes. Fry until golden-brown. Flip the rösti after 15 min. Add more butter. Slide rösti back in for another 15 min. For extra essentials :p, add grated gruyere cheese

You can bake the roesti with the cheese in the oven to keep them warm and serve at the same time.
